Staking at home is the most robust and profitable way to passively earn income with ETH. And AVADO’s range of plug-and-play devices provide the best solution on the market for maximizing your earning potential. In this guide, we will get practical by explaining how virtually anyone can start staking ETH on their AVADO device right now.

Step 1: Use the Launchpad to select your client

The very first thing that you will need to do in order to start staking ETH is navigate to the project’s official Staking Launchpad. This is available at Ethereum.org.

Fortunately, using the Launchpad is incredibly easy to use as you are provided with a selection of step-by-step choices in plain English. First, you will need to click “I Accept” on each of the 10 advisories provided by Ethereum.org.

Once you have done so, you will be provided with the option to choose an execution client for setting up your node. Since our range of plug-and-play devices fully support client diversity, you are completely free to use the Ethereum client of your choice. By using Ethereum.org’s extensive client comparison guide, you can pick the client that best supports your needs and values.

After selecting a client from the options provided, press “Continue”.

Now, you will also have to pick your consensus client. Once again, you are completely free to choose the client of your choice thanks to our product range supporting client diversity.

Step 2: Select the number of validators

Proceeding with the Staking Launchpad by pressing “Continue” again, select how many validators you would like to run. Each requires a minimum stake amount of 32 ETH.

For someone who does not have an AVADO device, this is where the process of running a validator would ordinarily become complex and incredibly monotonous. Luckily, having an AVADO device means that almost all of the work has already been done for you. If you have your AVADO ready, you can simply skip everything else on the “generate key pairs” page and move on to the next step by pressing the button labeled “Continue”.

Step 3: Use AVADO’s built-in key generator

Rather than deal with a complicated command line process, your AVADO device lets you simply generate the keys you need securely in just a few minutes.

To get your keys ready, leave the Launchpad open for now and start up your plug-and-play AVADO device. Right out of the box, you will have access to the AVADO Dappstore. This Dappstore is filled with useful applications that enable you to easily stake leading crypto projects.

In this case, select and install the ETH2.0 Key Generator. Since AVADO devices are not centralized, you have a completely private exchange of information with your device. This means that, specifically on your AVADO device, generating your keys is private and secure.

All you have to do is simply navigate to the user-friendly AVADO Dappstore and select the ETH2.0 Key Generator to install it. Once this application is finished installing, just click “Configure Package” in order to launch an automated wizard. Through following the simple prompts, you will be able to generate your keys and can now download them. You will also be asked to create a password, which you will need to store a secure copy of for future reference.

Once you have done so, wipe your generated keys from the package. It is important to note that, as the connection between you and your AVADO device is completely private, your funds will be safe and secure as long as you never share your private key.

Step 4: Upload your deposit data

Return to the Launchpad, which you previously left open during the “Upload Deposit Data” step. Click to upload the keys you just generated on your AVADO device.

Just like that, following this guide and using an AVADO device has allowed you to securely skip the parts of setting up a validator that are usually incredibly complex.

Step 5: Select your wallet.

Now it is time to select the wallet that contains the amount that you will be staking. Remember, for each validator that you are running (as you indicated in Step 2), you will need 32 ETH.

Using the Staking Launchpad, select the wallet that you will be using to finance your stake.

Step 6: Set up the Ethereum Node

As we reach the tail end of this set up process, one of the final things you will need to do is find and install the Ethereum Node on the AVADO Dappstore. You will also need to install the ETH2.0 validator package.

You can now import the validator files that you have been provided with by the Staking Launchpad. You will need to fill in the password that you created back in Step 3.

Do note that it may take some time for everything to install and sync with the Ethereum network.

In addition, make sure to also select a different password for your wallet, which you will need to store somewhere safe (preferably offline) as well.

Step 7: Start staking

Finally, you can monitor the progress of the sync at any time through your AVADO Dashboard. When your packages have synced successfully to the Ethereum network, you can start staking right away.

With AVADO, it really is that easy for virtually anyone to stake ETH2.0 in just a few easy, secure, and intuitive steps.
